Each drum I create is a one-of-a-kind original Honor-Piece, dedicated to a specific theme. The title of this drum is "Gentleness of Spirit that Heals All Wounds" and depicts Grandmother Deer, whose antlers surround Thunder Beings and Lightning Sticks. The symbolism represents Deer teaching us to use the power of gentleness to touch the hearts and minds of wounded beings whose fear keeps them from Sacred Mountain. Like the dappled spots that appear on a fawn's back, both light and dark can be loved, thus creating gentleness and safety for all those seeking peace.
